age must be catching up with me, as with cynicism. hurhur. it kind of feels like 2008 is no different from 2007, except for the fact that the 7 has become an 8. it is just the way people count, if longlong ago there was a different way of counting, we could be celebrating new year a few months earlier or we could only be celebrating happy 1008! if you get what i mean. BUT this does not mean i'm jaded. I really enjoyed the past few days!
It was a quiet new years eve, of which i am thankful for, just chillin and eating (haha) with a few good friends. it is my type of thing haha. a far cry from last year jostling in the mad crowd! i hate crowds, i have super crowd claustrophobia, maybe because im short and when the crowd closes in i can't see anything or anyway out of the mess then i get scared and my mind blanks out haha! but that doesn't mean i didn't enjoy last year! it brought out the hero in a friend hurhur (:
so this year, we just stuffed ourselves silly, sat around and watched movies (little rascals!) and at 11.45, we climbed to the rooftop and the view was breathtaking! then fireworks started going off in all directions as you turn 36o degrees before the londoneye display started. haha we wonderfully missed the countdown and then the londoneye fireworks went off. really really nice. really. one in particular was very nice! i can't describe it but i can visualise it. haha kind of like a handful of small colourful dots flying around in a haphazard yet delayed manner then after a while, they explode into the usual fireworks kind of splendour. but i liked the part where it was small and simple colourful things flying around. nice! (:
2007 has been a trying year (as with every year) but it ended peacefully and 2008 started nicely. 2008 will definitely be another trying year but with God, i will get through it. only by the grace of God.
