da jie and i had a very interesting search for closure. in the search of closure, we bickered.debated.battled and compromised on each side, only to find, finally, that closure was the process, not the destination. closure.

its been a tiring week, passed by kinda quickly, can't believe its friday tmr.. but still tiring. haha! longlonglonglong days in school, manymanymanymany lectures, supersupersupersuper a lot of work to read up on! mati akuuuuu. feel tired, sleepy, but i still didn't fall asleep in any lectures, even after a whole day of pharma+patho lectures. That is amazing right! yes, cos it's God's strength carrying me through this, not mine.

its been a week of choices, another kinda large choice on my plate now, i kinda know which to pick, but still praying about it. anyways, highlights of the week, actually most of the "highlights" was just yesterday lah. haha! i (being the guai kia i am -ahem-) went for the random one hour dissection lesson that quite a few -ahemahem- chose to pon! so proud of myself haha and it was a good session for me, cos i actually learnt stuff. -claps- hurhur and so after dissection, it was me and chehkkie in the locker room, and we were kinda like in a wanttoeatsomethingnicebutnotexpensive kinda mood haha so chehkkie suggested dimsum. GOODCHOICE! bugged shing, and so shing came too! woohoo it was just nice, not too filling not too emptying, and good price. hurhur

then went down to hampstead with annie and bao (ponners..) for badmintonnnn! haha had quite a lot of fun, i stayed till 8 while the other two headed of for st john half way.. good time, actually one of the only times i actually really enjoyed myself playing rums badminton this year, cos i haven't really actually been playing properly or getting any kick out of badminton this year due to some obvious loss in partner (felisanidiot), who is freely gallivanting in sanfran with her superhiro. hurhur. but yah enjoyed myself,and so today when bao and i went to csc to register for clubs and societies, i decided to join rumsbadminton for another year. was seriously considering not, but yah. this shall be it. haha im playing for fun anyways. (:

but today woke up with badbadbadbadbadbadbadbad muscle ache, haha seriously, playing badminton for so many hours straight, not good for ageing old me. haha bao complain her butt ache, (oops should i censor that) but mine is legs. haha! especially when climbing/goingdown stairs, ohmytian! really have to cling to handrail, one step at a time, manmanlaiiiiii. haha then when i think about it, actually everywhere also ache, but just that the legache is so overwhelming, the rest just dont feel painful. i dread tmr, when the muscle ache will worsen. ok longtime no muscle ache liao, which means yesterday's badminton, really shiook. haha!

ok super full now.. like super full. really want to get started with my work that is piling up and i can no longer see the end of it, but im too full, and seriously sleepy. haha and tmr is a looooooooooooooooong day, having to go up to hampstead again for SSM. -yawns- but have something to look forward to. HURHUR!

oh and shing, no laah you're not like a super open book for me lah, just say.. we have an understanding of some sort? u know me too mah haha but not like you're a super open book or something. and i lub you! always. haha! (:

hurhur! im full. and happy. and thankful. its been a while since i actually sat down and had proper chinese meal. with rice and dishes and even soup and oranges and tea! wah shiokness! and its all thanks to the veryvery generous soo family. hehe. THANKS! ok although i admit, im usually quite quiet and shy in front of parents, today was a bit different. i actually spoke, and ate more than just a cat portion of food. i had great fun (: and thanks auds and bao ( can i shorten that to anb) for waiting for the bus! hehe oh btw, auds please kick me (you can poke if you want) if i try to bully you in the next few days. haha.

anyhows, woke up early this morn for 9am service. nice, serene, peaceful, tranquil. very pleasant indeed. hurhur. and then they sang a song that apparantly was introduced in summer but for obvious reasons, i wasn't here. it has a kinda nice tune, tho i can't really rmb the verse, but when it came to the chorus.. something tugged at my heartstrings!

and after that i chiong-ed down to ridgmount gardens (again..) to my dearest shing's place.. to.. make sandwich for smsl fresher's tea -_- HURHUR and bao and me and annie adopted her cousin to be our cousin! so funny. so she's no longer known as yinyong, she's now known as cousin. HURHUR! i really think she no scared of me and bao anymore, but she shutted up when annie came! hurhur so she scared of annie now. and she probably just thinks that bao and i are weird crazy friends who keeeeeeeeeeep bugging her dearest REAL cousin. and always end up bumming on the big purple sofa in the living room. which btw, is really really comfortable. and nice. and wahhh *relax*

then we headed down for the smsl fresher's tea. it was quite interesting lah, huge credits to jas and steph for organising it and coming up with such interesting games lah! haha it was really quite funny and ok i didn't really talk to any new fresher, maybe cos all the concord juniors SOMEHOW ended up in my group! except for this guy from qm who is called pei kee, but i thought he said peigee. and then i started thinking when i'll see peigee again(EH WHEN AH!). haha!! ok obviously i wasn't really focusing. ANYWAYS. so we had a few crashers at the freshers tea. hurhur and it ended all nice and happy. hehe!

and then bao bummed at marylandsroad!!! while er jie and i made her this poisonous smoothie! yummy right! watch out, it works like laxatives XD and then we chiong down to bayswater, and that's where the yummy dinner came in. and blah blah blah and im here now! ok got lotsa stuff to read up, brain shutting down, muscles giving up, wenling dying. ok i go sleep. T_T

and so! i got biology of cardiovascular disease as my SSM. haha the only one out of the long list that caught my attention initially. till i read the content of all the others. haha! so i guess this is the way and this is it. bring on those HEARTS!! rarhhh! haha XD i realised i've been updating a lot. haha! proud of me? -nods- but all the updates like useless de. haha one picture three lines. one picture two lines. woohoo! make me feel a bit more artistic mah. haha.

ok its been a pretty productive and busy week. hehe! and very interesting one as well. i feel very .. how do i put it? cultured. HAHA! ok in one week right, i watched three theatrical performances, all of different genres. an opera [the merry widow], a musical [lion kingggg! roar!] and a movie [x-men3]. all in theatres! ok how i ended up in the opera was a con job (initially) by natalai and bao. but it was nice, interesting. cheap(hurhur) and a new experience. ok and i understood the opera. cos it was in english, and it kinda felt like a musical. heeeee! so i really enjoyed myself. :D

one big big highlight of the week, was the birthday of a very very very very very adorable, un-fierce TAI. aka natalai. aka chehkkie. aka indo soc treasurer!


ok i know my blog is supposed to stop being a birthday calender. but she's special! and besides, i'm blogging this as part of my "week" haha! so yay! XD so alice and i plan plan plan during the "uclmedics dinner" and plan plan plan until we had a master plan and were very very satisfied with it. thought it was idiot-proof. but i guess we were bigger idiots than that, and somehow, er it didn't work out. and like everything went completely off tangent!! our original plan was to... ok shan't reveal any trade secrets. ANYWAYS. so we had an early lecture on thursday, but we had to still make a surprise! to start off the day nicely. so some of us who managed to drag our groggy selves out of bed headed down to ridgmount gardens, due to a minor glitch, we had two cakes! but who's complaining. :D hehe

and then we had a little 'happy birthday to you' session.. then rushed off for lectures. hurhur! and after that, we went for a happydappy dimsum, and then! nat went to pay the bill and none of us realised. -_- so paiseh lah! but thanks yah (: hehe really nice and generous (!!) of you! in the middle of dimsum i got a phonecall! sucha pleasant surprise. xiexieni :] and then we went down to her place to eat the cakes and the yummylicious banoffee pie that she made! and then impulse struck! and we headed off to watch lion king. hehe! nice, i loveeeee the props! and the set! and everything! from the moment i sat down, i was glued to the stage. just like a kid. and amazed at the elephants, giraffes, birds, lions, antelopes. everything that came onto the stage lah! and ohmytian i love the babbooon! haha enjoyable lah, worth a watch! :D oh i owe suelynn money. ok remind me! haha

ok tired. and we had a great pds session on friday. -yawns- haha after that went down to nat's place (AGAIN) haha sorry keep bumming in ur place leh. and bao headed off for exploiting medical literature class. -bigyawns- haha while shing me and nat headed down to covent garden to settle some stuffs. hehe! then nat had to head down to maidavale for spectrum. haha ok that sentence sounds really weird if you do'nt understand the context. ANYWAY so shing and i halfran to leicester square. cos our dearest bao zao-ed early from class and headed down to get the x-men tickets!! haha one pound shows. i like! :D despite all the not-so-good comments, i liked the show leh! haha nice. then bummed in shing's place and kacau-ed her cousin. i think her cousin hates us leh bao. bo su ka wah nang. hurhur

ok then had ocf. er my group still no fresher leh. boohoohoo. nobody lub us. haha! had a very disturbing piano session. and was very tired. i think cos the past few days was packed with classes and facts and stuff to learn. tiring lah, so i didn't go for supper, just zoomed back. when i came back! i refused to sleep. hurhur talk about guai pi. ok lah, haha quite proud of myself for having sucha full of content post instead of usual crap and nonsense! those who owe me emails, reply leh! me is lonely. haha! ok busy day ahead tmr. sleep early. byebyebye! dumdeedum.. just a short post and i'll be zooming out in a couple of minutes. woke up with more than enough time to get to lecture. whee! so proud of myself. had an hour's lecture about voluntary movement and maintenance of posture. sounds like a -yawns- topic right? well no. haha it was quite interesting. cos firstly the lecturer has a very nice mickey mouse bow tie. (!!) and next, he pretty much drags everyone along the aisles to be models and specimens that he works on. very interesting! and he's very amusing. many things that we do as a "natural response" has an explanation! haha am very amazed. never thought about things that way. hurhur

anyhows, had a lab session about muscle twitch. basically jet got electrocuted, but because of some reason, i became the one being electrocuted. 0_o.. quite weird really, the last electric shock was reallllly bad. haha my whole hand jumped. and till now my fingers still feel kinda weird. haha.. did i kill my hand?? ohmytiannnnn. haha! no lah but it was quite fun. :D

and like this afternoon, well cos its wednesday, so i usually play badminton. but because of two bad wednesdays in a row, where we only got to play like 5 minutes and then got shoo-ed off for some stupid reason or another. and also because there are a million and one freshers tryingn out, there are simply not enough courts lah. so sien already, annie and i pangseh-ing badminton on wednesdays. then i figured since im free i'll watch 'devil wears prada' (again..) with alice! cos she hasn't seen it. but then something else came up.. and its a commitment that well i figured is for a good cause, something that i'd very much like to spend time doing and even tho it means my wednesday afternoons are gone, its better than hanging aroudn waiting for badminton courts. haha! okiedoks, im outta here now. byebyebye! yay! keeping up well with the blogging flow. [also because a sunshinechickenBUG keeps bugging to update. read slower lah! grrr] today, good day. most of it spent talking. hurhur what's new?? went allsouls. long story, explain next time. anyways, so i ended up in allsouls. then went to cnr for lunch. then they told us 20 mins wait?! haha lazy so we walked down to tpt to eat. i ate some chicken mushroom porridge thing. quite yummy leh. then er jie, tianxiang (??), cheez and me spent so long talking outside seewoo cos boss and dandan were taking chao long to buy a pot!? and we were waiting.. and waiting and waiting till we all grew old and grew mould. and then they came out we were already covered in ten layers of dust. and mushrooms.

then er jie and i headed down to oxford st to get some stuff. wasted time in a mcs, and disturbed jibaobs for a long time. A is fair and tender. A is fair and tender. HURHUR!! inside joke, nvm. haha don't ask! XD then we waste time waste time, then we headed down to trocadero. played a bit of bishibashi [its been a whileeeee] then it was about time for the supposedly ucl medics dinner. the turnout looked more like pple-who-did-alvls-in-uk-except-bao dinner! haha quite funnny. we ate in rainforest cafe. nice ambience, they made it feel like it was raining inside with all the weird rainforest monkeys and i duno what lah. birds?? haha expensive, but interesting. thanks chehkkie for dealing with the ever so dreadful bill. hehe (: muchly appreciated. spent most of the dinner disturbin bao/erjie/planning evil future plans with alice. haha! quite enjoyable lah. tho before the dinner started, was a bit messy and frustrating. but it was all good.

walked down tott court, sent chehkkie back. not safe lah her road, so dark so creepy. haha! then we didn't walk charlieboy all the way back. just at his trafficlight. lazy lah besides, he can fend for himself. haha XD then er jie and i hopped on the 18 and zoomed back. ok im not as tired as i expected. and i enjoyed myself today much more than i expected. haha its been a pretty good day. looks like a rather busy week ahead. lotsa classes and stuff. but will get through it, the joy of the Lord shall be my strength.

ok lah say im in a good mood. or what. just wana keep up with this efficiency of updating the blog before i suddenly just decide to shut it down. haha!! impulsive. ok not much to say, it was nice. nicer than last year cos last year was super super cold. this year it was great weather, great sun, great company and i learnt how to throw the frisbee properly. hurhur!

siewmai was lying peacefully on the ground with his face covered. and then came ME! who starting putting grass on siewmai. siewmai didn't fight back, so i got a masterpiecE!!! :D siew mai became my new best friend, until he ruined the artwork by getting up -_-

hmm and i spent most of the time playing frisbee with er jie and dandan! haha so fun, cos i canot throw frisbee properly but i guess today i learnt a bit. haha ok practise more can liao! hurhur ate lotsa junkfood. drank lotsa sprite. had lotsa sunshine. :D ok we quite bad we keep disturbin cheez. cos he so stoned! look at food also don't whack. somethings weirddddd! XD keep playing with his shoelaces. in the end he walked back, one shoe no lace -_- tied to ankle. haha! ok lah i think im quite evil. T_T

today has been a pretty weird day. not weird as in bad weird but weird in a sense that its kinda different from most other days. before today, was experiencing a i-duno-how-to-explain-it phase. it wasn't a high, it was a kinda low kinda i duno where i am and i wanted to talk to someone, anyone so badly that i was random calling people already. if you didn't hear about it, its not cos i forgot you, or you are not important to me. its just that i didn't actually manage to talk to anyone about it. haha! i called a number of pple, but those i called either couldn't pick up the call, didn't pick up the call, wrong time zone (!!), the person picked up and then somehow i didn't talk about it .. you get the drift. and then my phone battery died. T_T and then i was back to my normal, sit alone in the bus and then take a long walk home and think about it, and then talk to God about it and somehow by the end of the day or a period of time, it'd be sorted. i figured that's pretty much how i deal with things since i was young.. so i guess sorry folks if im still a closed book :D what can i say? God made me this way. hurhur.

anyway! so today, had classes till about 12 plus? then bao and i siamed to the ulu freshers fayre! for what? none other than to collect freebies. haha! CHEAPOS. (eh bao! where is the indo soc!!!) then we had lunch and in the pouring rain T_T i headed back to ULU to do street evangelism! haha yah but the rain was so bad, we couldn't. so just hung around the ocf booth. haha! then when the rain let up, joseph, eu jin, jarrod and i decided ok its time to head out. we grabbed some stuff, said a prayer and hit the streets! jo paired with eujin and i paired off with jarrod. it was quite difficult initially cos both of us have never done street e before! but we just put aside all doubts and insecurities and did what we were sent to do. just THICKEN ur skin and move ahead don't look back. and it was really amazing, because ok im really bad with talking to strangers. as in talking rubbish and creating atmosphere with all the hello wassup! kinda hyperness can lah. to actually go up to a complete stranger and talk about the gospel was beyond what i thought i could do lah. im really chronically shy.

as expected, lotsa people avoided us, told us 'im not interested get lost' and treated us like diseases. but when there was someone who actually was interested to listen, was searching for answers, and when i had to actually do what i set out to do, the words just flowed so fluently from my mouth, its definitely the work of the holy spirit. all my laoyapok language, accent, doubts, things bugging my mind, everything all disappeared and whatever i said, the person understood. i didn't even know i was capable of sharing such things from the bible and my experiences. i didn't even feel like me. it was amazing. and like whatever was bugging me the day before, just kinda vanished and sorted itself out in the process of talking to strangers about the good news. weird? yah i told you it was weird. and then after we spent a couple of hours around the SOAS area bugging people who were waiting for others, sitting down, jarrod had to go off for somemeeting, so we headed back to ulu where i sat at the booth and gave out flyers till we packed up.

ocf today was packed again! so many freshers -clapclap- haha!! and strand was bursting full lah! haha.. nice lah. then we broke into our small groups. no fresher wanted to join my group lorh. so my group all the lao jiao people. haha!! ok not say i very lao but still. no fresher mah. haha but fun lah. boss is still boss. and this time i got a ladyboss! haha :D then as usual went for supper which was nice (jibaobs come back leh! its different without the jiu-yin-ju-pa-fan-chao-dai guy) and like during the whole freshers fayre to ocf time, i actually talked quite a lot to some ocfers that i've known for the past year but just never really talked to. jarrod is one good example, being his street e partner, obviously we have to talk to each other lah. quite interesting. i enjoyed my street e session much much more than i thought i would (: and i guess what alvin told me was true (cos i was quite reluctant to go for street e, but jo told me to just go anyway), if God places it in your lap, it means you will be provided with the capability to deal with it, even if it is beyond what you can imagine. simply because God is much much much greater than what we imagine Him to be. thanks alvin. that really convinced me to go for it. haha!!

at the end of a busy and productive day, i just wanna thank God for everything and everything and everything (:

heyhey! school was alright today.. learnt quite a bit in dissection! which was great cos there was this really nice old lady (who was super smart) who saw that our table was pretty lost. duh! half the table didn't even turn up for dissection and she talked us through the shoulder and the back muscles which really helped, cos i was blur as a blurperson. woohoo! and the stats lecture was.. quite soporific. hurhur! but i didn't sleep (: so proud of myself!

classes ended at 1 (WOOHOO!) and ck, bao, auds and me headed for lunch. then after that bao and i crashed ck's flat and she fed us BNJ. woohoo! and we launched into a discussion of starting an indon soc. erps! haha bao! better get your work done for our society ok. go set it up! (: i got a feeling indon soc is like the covername for bodoh club leh why the 3 core members so similar to bodoh club.. -_-

then bao took 18 home! hurhur!! but the bus was crowded :( and it was raining :( but since bao was there, it shall be a smiley face :D ok anyway why am i rambling on about my day, my main point of blogging today is just to share something that my mom sent me in an email today.. its quite funny .. kinda gives a cynical view to everything.
